From the outset, the team at Jotika developed a true partnership with Stevens Glass, building a clear understanding of the business requirements and openness about the best ways of working and how to use software to transform working practices.
The Jotika team worked on-site at Stevens’ factories and remotely from their UK base to implement their Gtrak software. It was rolled out across all the key business processes from order entry through glass design, production planning, optimisation, job management and order tracking.
They ensured that all the staff at Stevens Glass were properly trained and comfortable using the software, so there was no drama when it went live, and production continued uninterrupted from day one.
Since implementing Gtrak, staff at Stevens Glass have been able to take customer orders more quickly, with larger customers placing orders directly from their own ERP systems. All of the paperwork and drawings for each job are stored electronically, so staff in the office or on the factory floor can pull up all the details they need instantly. Because every piece of glass is tracked through the factory with barcode scanners, they can monitor the progress of every customer order, easily re-prioritising where necessary. The Gtrak system also makes it easy for staff to give their customers and their fitters reliable, up-to-the-minute updates on production and dispatch.
